1 Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
1 ΚΑΙ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀαρὼν διαιρέσεις· Ναδὰβ καὶ Ἀβιοὺδ καὶ Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ Ἰθάμαρ.
2 And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests.
2 καὶ ἀπέθανε Ναδὰβ καὶ Ἀβιοὺδ ἐναντίον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν, καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἦσαν αὐτοῖς· καὶ ἱεράτευσεν Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ Ἰθάμαρ υἱοὶ Ἀαρών.
3 Then David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to the schedule of their service.
3 καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοὺς Δαυὶδ καὶ Σαδὼκ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ Ἀχιμέλεχ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰθάμαρ κατὰ τὴν ἐπίσκεψιν αὐτῶν, κατὰ τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῶν, κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.
4 There were more leaders found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus they were divided. Among the sons of Eleazar were sixteen heads of their fathers’ houses, and eight heads of their fathers’ houses among the sons of Ithamar.
4 καὶ εὑρέθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἐλεάζαρ πλείους εἰς ἄρχοντας τῶν δυνατῶν παρὰ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰθάμαρ, καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτούς, τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἐλεάζαρ ἄρχοντας εἰς οἴκους πατριῶν ἑκκαίδεκα, καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰθάμαρ κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν ὀκτώ.
5 Thus they were divided by lot, one group as another, for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of the house of God, from the sons of Eleazar and from the sons of Ithamar.
5 καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοὺς κατὰ κλήρους τούτους πρὸς τούτους, ὅτι ἦσαν ἄρχοντες τῶν ἁγίων καὶ ἄρχοντες Κυρίου ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἰθάμαρ.
6 And the scribe, Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, one of the Levites, wrote them down before the king, the leaders, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites, one father’s house taken for Eleazar and one for Ithamar.
6 καὶ ἔγραψεν αὐτοὺς Σαμαΐας υἱὸς Ναθαναὴλ ὁ γραμματεὺς ἐκ τοῦ Λευὶ κατέναντι τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ Σαδὼκ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ Ἀχιμέλεχ υἱὸς Ἀβιάθαρ καὶ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν, οἴκου πατριᾶς εἷς εἷς τῷ Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ εἷς εἷς τῷ Ἰθάμαρ.
7 Now the first lot fell to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
7 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πρῶτος τῷ Ἰωαρίμ, τῷ Ἰεδίᾳ ὁ δεύτερος,
8 the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
8 τῷ Χαρὶβ ὁ τρίτος, τῷ Σεωρὶμ ὁ τέταρτος,
9 the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
9 τῷ Μελχίᾳ ὁ πέμπτος, τῷ Μεϊαμὶν ὁ ἕκτος,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
10 τῷ Κὼς ὁ ἕβδομος, τῷ Ἀβίᾳ ὁ ὄγδοος,
11 the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
11 τῷ Ἰησοῦ ὁ ἔνατος, τῷ Σεχενίᾳ ὁ δέκατος,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
12 τῷ Ἐλιαβὶ ὁ ἑνδέκατος, τῷ Ἰακὶμ ὁ δωδέκατος,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
13 τῷ Ὀπφᾷ ὁ τρισκαιδέκατος, τῷ Ἰεσβαὰλ ὁ τεσσαρεσκαιδέκατος,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
14 τῷ Βελγᾷ ὁ πεντεκαιδέκατος, τῷ Ἐμμὴρ ὁ ἑκκαιδέκατος,
15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
15 τῷ Χηζὶν ὁ ἑπτακαιδέκατος, τῷ Ἀφεσὴ ὁ ὀκτωκαιδέκατος,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,
16 τῷ Φεταίᾳ ὁ ἐννεακαιδέκατος, τῷ Ἐζεκὴλ ὁ εἰκοστός,
17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
17 τῷ Ἀχὶμ ὁ εἷς καὶ εἰκοστός, τῷ Γαμοὺλ ὁ δεύτερος καὶ εἰκοστός,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
18 τῷ Ἀδαλλαὶ ὁ τρίτος καὶ εἰκοστός, τῷ Μαασαὶ ὁ τέταρτος καὶ εἰκοστός.
19 This was the schedule of their service for coming into the house of the LORD according to their ordinance by the hand of Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.
19 αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν λειτουργίαν αὐτῶν τοῦ εἰσπορεύεσθαι εἰς οἶκον Κυρίου κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν διὰ χειρὸς Ἀαρὼν πατρὸς αὐτῶν, ὡς ἐνετείλατο Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς Ἰσραήλ.
20 And the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
20 Καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Λευὶ τοῖς καταλοίποις· τοῖς υἱοῖς Ἀμβρὰμ Σωβαήλ· τοῖς υἱοῖς Σωβαὴλ Ἰεδία.
21 Concerning Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
21 τῷ Ρααβίᾳ ὁ ἄρχων Ἰεσίας,
22 Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
22 καὶ τῷ Ἰσααρὶ Σαλωμώθ· τοῖς υἱοῖς Σαλωμὼθ Ἰάθ.
23 Of the sons of Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
23 υἱοὶ Ἰεδιοῦ· Ἀμαδία ὁ δεύτερος, Ἰαζιὴλ ὁ τρίτος, Ἰεκμοὰμ ὁ τέταρτος.
24 Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah; of the sons of Michah, Shamir.
24 τοῖς υἱοῖς Ὀζιὴλ Μιχά· υἱοὶ Μιχὰ Σαμήρ.
25 The brother of Michah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
25 ἀδελφὸς Μιχὰ Ἰσία· υἱὸς Ἰσία Ζαχαρία.
26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi; the son of Jaaziah, Beno.
26 υἱοὶ Μεραρὶ Μοολὶ καὶ Μουσί. υἱοὶ Ὀζία υἱοὶ Βοννί.
27 The sons of Merari by Jaaziah were Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
27 υἱοὶ Μεραρὶ τῷ Ὀζίᾳ, υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ Ἰσοὰμ καὶ Σακχοὺρ καὶ Ἀβαΐ,
28 Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
28 τῷ Μοολὶ Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ Ἰθάμαρ· καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ἐλεάζαρ καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν αὐτῷ υἱοί.
29 Of Kish: the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.
29 τῷ Κίς· υἱοὶ τοῦ Κὶς Ἱεραμεήλ.
30 Also the sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.
30 καὶ υἱοὶ τοῦ Μουσὶ Μοολὶ καὶ Ἐδὲρ καὶ Ἰαριμώθ. οὗτοι υἱοὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν κατ᾿ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.
31 These also cast lots just as their brothers the sons of Aaron did, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the priests and Levites. The chief fathers did just as their younger brethren.
31 καὶ ἔλαβον καὶ αὐτοὶ κλήρους καθὼς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν υἱοὶ Ἀαρὼν ἐναντίον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Σαδὼκ καὶ Ἀχιμέλεχ καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν, πατριάρχαι ἀραὰβ καθὼς οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ οἱ νεώτεροι.
